Project description

The 12-month follow-up study is a new edition of the two follow-up surveys of Bernese clients in the years 2001-2003 and 2009-2011. It was developed with the aim of documenting and analysing the medium-term rehabilitation process after leaving inpatient addiction therapy. Central questions are related to changes in the social situation (housing, employment situation, relationships) as well as in consumer behaviour, legal status and counselling experience. It also aims to examine which aspects are related to a positive change or the maintenance of the positive situation after withdrawal. The follow-up survey includes all clients of full age who have spent at least three months in therapy in one of the seven Bernese institutions involved and have given their consent to participate.
